Not many people know this, but a working holiday in Tenerife as a jelly girl is one of the highest paid jobs abroad.
The job is fairly straight forward – you have a number of 'jelly shots' (test tube or syringe shots) and you get 1 Euro for each one you sell.
The job basically involves floating around the bar or club making conversation/flirting with the guys and selling them shots. Girls who do this job abroad in Tenerife won't just have a great time, but it's also a very lucrative working holiday this summer!
Unlike the other resorts where it's vital to be there at the start of the season, Tenerife is the only resort where you will find work no matter when you go. But we would still recommend heading out early April and May to get the best Jelly girl jobs in Tenerife.
Socialising Even though you're going to meet loads of new friends coming out with Air Pro this summer, when you're a shot girl in Tenerife, you're going to be meeting 100s more as your job abroad in Tenerife is 100% about talking and chatting people up!
Working in Tenerife, the shot girls get commission, paid on the number of shots they sell in their bar or club. How much you make will depend on how busy the resort is. Working during high season can make you 60-80 Euros a night, while during low season it could be from 20-40 Euros a night (not forgetting your free drinks all night!).
It’s a commission based role so if the resort is quiet there will be less money to be made. Also you will need thick skin and NOT easily offended as you may need to handle some drunk people talking to you.
please note: The advice given by our advisers is based on the previous season’s statistics and can only be used as pre-season guidance as the popularity of a resort can change from season to season.
